100 MILE CLUB
WALKING & FITNESS PROGRAM

WHO?Everyone at Mercer...
Everyone at Mercer-Atlanta is challenged to walk 100 miles this year. It’s easier than you think! Fitness is one of the best ways to fuel your body, mind, and spirit. Mercer is interested inpromoting physical activity and healthylifestyles, and is offering The 100Mile Club for our faculty & staff.

The main goal is to build and/or maintaina healthy active lifestyle. Researchhas proven the effects of physical activity can increase your energy and lower the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, not to mention
assist in weight control.

It’s Easy!Here’s How

Grab your colleagues, your spouse, your best friend or neighbor, or get away by yourself and head out for a walk. Be part of the Mercer’s Wellness initiative and join fellow friends and family in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

Keep a log of the miles you walk (or the time you exercise). Logs may be kept on a paper chart, this brochure, or on a computerized version. Once you log a total of 100 miles, just bring your log to the Sheffield gym and we’ll reward you with your exclusive, members only, 100 Mile Club Mercer shirt, for you to wear proudly! We will even keep a map at Sheffield showing the total distance that we walk throughout the year!
